HI, I'M IZZAT!

 I have always been a creative bee, creating designs from my subconscious for as long as I can remember and my family played a big role in nurturing it. As a child, my mom would sew chic outfits for me and it always marvelled me that no matter what design I would imagine she would bring it to life. That sparked a desire in me to learn sewing at a very young age. My dad is into still-life drawing and my brother is a digital all-rounder and my go-to person in terms of creativity and tech. Having said that, I never thought about pursuing a creative life as I was under the perception that art can only be a hobby and not a full-time career. So for that reason, I decided to do my bachelor's in Mathematics and soon after I found the love of my life and got married. I moved from my homeland, Pakistan to the United Kingdom to start a newly married life in 2013. For the longest time, I had no clue what I wanted to do in life and the gift of motherhood didn't make it any easier.

It was not until 2020, consumed by boredom in the lockdown I had a chance to reflect on many things. And that's when I come across Illustration and Surface Pattern Design. It was such a breakthrough that I couldn't contain it, the excitement and passion for creativity were engulfing me and I had to do something about it! Things started changing when my husband got me an iPad, I started seeing my designs come alive!

My art style is deeply influenced by nature and the abstract shapes around me. I like to use bright and bold colours in my designs, keeping in mind, elegance. My subconscious mind plays a big role in most of the colour palettes I use. I believe, colours enlighten moods, and if used adventurously, they can spice things up, stimulating creativity and inspiration!
